Froudian Creature

An interesting creature I started drawing this morning. It's definitely one of my more loose and free drawings. I got my inspiration from some of Brian Froud's works (hence the title). For those of you not familiar with him, he's the author of, amongst many fairie books, Pressed Faeries, and the conceptual artist for Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal. His drawing process usually starts with the eye, so that's where I started. Originally, this character was going to have a humanoid body, and he might have one the next time I draw him.
