Description
This drawing is based on a couple of earlier works, but with a more realistic approach. I’ve added some new details to make the creature into a character. For instance, he is now covered in scars. Originally, I’d started a drawing in Corel Painter, but after watching a DVD about drawing, I realized it was best to drag out my pencils and do something a bit better. There is one small mistake; his spear is not aligned correctly. One fascinating tip helped with the creation of this drawing, so I’ll share it with you.
With a pencil, sketch a small, basic stick figure in some interesting poses. Don’t worry about the details and don’t take more than a minute to draw them. Keep those sketches, since they’ll probably prove useful for future drawings.
Edit: Updated with spear aligned and with a better scan.
General’s Kimberly drawing pencils, HB, 2B, and Layout extra black on Canson watercolor paper. 11 ¼” x 8 5/16”

It looks like you took your time with this one. There's alot more realism here in this picture than in some of your other stuff. Probably the muscles and shaddows.
